shut your trap, BOT
how can a BOT consider another BOT's suggestion?
Lul.
Matsuda vs beast what a tight game and Ryo defeat that beast.
Yusa beats Ryo twice easily lol
ryo won because Okazaki was tired
You can't have a excuse for playing a game. If other people will be tired too.
unless okazaki was facing a really tough opponent before ryo n tired out then, isnt his tiring out done by ryo n hence ryo's credit?
so...what ryo lacks...is a death stare like yusa's??
Train his mental fortitude
He lackng a goal and mind set to focus on. Like Yusa goal wanting to be the best, wanting to win triple crown, dating his sister. While Miz need to set his goal straight.
Even before mental fortitude, he doesn't have SPIRIT
i hate how they ruined the matsuda character always losing everything, this anime is getting worse.
it was never good to begin with, none of the emotional moments affected me in the slightest. idk man, it feels like this anime expects you to already be familiar with sports anime tropes and stuff like that, which i am, but if someone watched this as their first sports anime they would probablyy feel it was way more lacking than what i feel rn
Matsuda is on a better trajectory than mizushima, at least
I see MC has the skills and stamina to play well but lacks in mental with this killer instinct for competition. During the ep I though he would start to get it in the 3d round of semi-final against Okazaki and then refine it a bit more against Yusa but still loose. But in the end he did'nt get it at all and was crushed in final. Well maybe it was too soon for him to get it. Author must have kept it for the inter-high tournament.
people like him dont get it unzil they woould die for the win
Yusa fighting for something. While rest don't think to much what they fighting for. Until he realizing what he fighting for. His mental will get better. He has a goal to focus on. What reason he change school to be here. He need to find those answer again.
He has 0 skills we can see that in the 16 episodes before. He sure has stamina and is really smart but that's it. Normally guys like him can't make it to the finals, just like Okazaki. In real life it should have been Matsuda the finalist.
And he has the mental fortitude we've seen that before countless times and playing the 3rd set is proof of it, not having the competitive spirit is another thing (that is always changing). He had that spirit before when he played against Yusa and scored +10 points or something, at this tournament he did what he planned to do: make it to the finals. When the goal is beaten it's hard to reset and make a new goal in such a short time especially when your mind has already told you that it's done and what's coming next is just a participation match. This is not a mental weakness it's just like I set myself to do a half-marathon and if I turn right I go to the full marathon course, if I prepared myself and told myself that I would do the half I won't turn right and run the full marathon. Easy as that.
If it was a mental weakness he wouldn't have felt the breeze through the first match nor the strenght to beat someone who beat his friend that always competes with him for the top spots.
Wind stop will blow up again. He need to set his mind straight. A fighting mental mind and doesn't everything it take to win. Right now his wind is like a relaxing. He need to change it to fierce.
Well Mizushima had the wrong attitude against Yusa, he should have wanted to win but the first thing he said is that he wanted to see how well he would do against Yusa, that meant he was already believing he would lose.
He needs to work on his mentality urgently and ASAP!!!! đ±đđ§
Time for a Saturday dosage of badminton!
I feel like Matsuda should have had that game against that loudmouth dummy. I guess they just needed him to lose so Ryo could have his big moment, which never really came because once he stopped getting psyched out he shaped up and crushed that dude. Kind of anticlimactic there. I donât know how much raw enthusiasm or willpower compares to actual talent. That guyâs mental game was strong though, Iâll give him that.
I think what everyone means by how Mizushima doesnât know what it means to compete could be that he doesnât have that âkiller instinctâ when he plays. Those other guys are putting everything on the line every match, I guess Mizushima is lacking that kind of intensity.
maybe mizushima got exhausted by okazaki n sort of spent his mental fortiute against his death stare,so in the face of yusa's he finally gets drained.yusa on the other hand had no problem defeating his earlier opponents,at his level.
This girl is getting increasingly annoying . (at least for me)

I didn't like Yusa for a long time. But even he is better than that Okazaki dude 2:52 pm 04/09/22
OK. Thank you very much for this recommendation.
Is it the terrible animation or it is the awful timing? something is off and I do not enjoy it as much anymore tbh, even the sounds seem off from the character's facial expressions, a hot mess!
that animation when Yusa started the first hit, amazing :)
what i don't like about this sports anime - it shows little of the sport itself... it's more about the players and their emotions and almost nothing of a match
"The wind has stopped..."
Really? There's a storm raging outside at my place...
Mizushima is too nice lol, cant even make a mental game, not enough hunger & arrogance. What a boring guy
"You may want to avoid looking at your opponent" immediately looks over at opponent
I wish they would have gone more in depth with these matches in particular. It felt like they were building each match up for dramatic moments and then 30 seconds later they announced the final score, especially with Yusa vs Ryo
yeah i kinda feel they made him notice what they didnt want him to get distracted by,but then he couldve been caught in okazaki's death stare on his own.
He was fine through the first game though, even though he was definitely watching Okazaki. I think Okazaki's stare only works when his opponents are completely focused on him whereas Ryo was thinking more about strategy the first game and probably would've continued to do so if the coach hadn't said anything.
17 episodes and this is the performance we get from MC...quite disappointing to be honest but necessary I guess.
Noooo, not the wind stopping.
Although this series' pacing is a bit better than 12 episode series, I think they stuffed too much here. There could have been some nice drama and badminton plays, but I think they stuffed 3 different matches in 1 ep. Might have been better with 2 max. They gave Mizushima and Okazaki like seconds of exposition and play for their third game. Doesn't seem like a climactic win.
why can't they just play their best (no unnecessary opponent-smirks)
kiai ga tharin wa
How many more setbacks? lol I know that the mc couldn't always win but so far he hasn't won any major fight and it's been17 episodes~
you surely never play badminton, you cant always win, and i can see very well where is lack are. there is no way he would be able to win against yusa as of for now. His mental state is way to weak for the competition match.
You sure I never played badminton? And did you read my comment? I said I know he wouldn't always win BUT so far he hasn't won any major fights~ In his years of playing he hasn't won a major one yet~ His mindset is not way too weak in my opinion~ If his mindset is way too weak how much more weaker are the others? They have been playing for years competitively they should at least have some sort of competitiveness in them yet they show that Mizushima does not have any~ I like this show don't get me wrong I just was my boy some Ws~
I didnt said he was weak, I said his mind set is weak. When everyone is talented, normaly in semi-final and final, it all about who as the the best mental set. I didnt mean to upset you about playing or not but you surely didnt in some competition tournement if you cant understand why he cant win for the moment. I like this show too because we gonna see him grownth on his own like any badminton player have. It all about the limit of every individual and that why i like badminton so much.
Dude I never said he was weak I said that his mindset is not as weak as you said~ You should read my reply carefully~ I know why he is not winning too~ It's so obvious all I'm saying in my original comment is that how many more setbacks until he actually get some Ws~ I'm not saying seeing him grow is bad but give my boy some Ws once in a while~ Waring towards a goal is fun but not getting rewarded slowly pulls you away from that goal~
I don't get it ...24 Episode for this anime and the Main protagonist after 17 episodes is worse than how was on 2nd Episode...
18:56 mizushima is just noticing that Yusa is a monster
What does he think it takes to be king of the hill? Is he stupid?
Whoa
